I share your views. It's just that 'venting it out' at times may not amount to a total undermining of the merit involved, much as it seems that way. This is not to justify this either. Let's take some 'retro-bothered' views in our stride and brush under the carpet anything that is not meant to be..
It is with the intention of intellectually engaging a promising office that I had proposed we do the above. If this leads to something concrete it will bring smiles - else, no hard feelings..we are either mature or inured to. It's one of those efforts.

I did send the $15 for overnight return. The consulate is saying they are taking 20 business days now to issue new passports. Even i had good experiences in the past where they send the stuff back within a week. But just my luck , that this time it is taking forever!!!!

If you are running out of time to save Candian PR under 3 years out of country stay rule, then only we have to think this canda stay.
If you can stay here and still save candian PR for this 1.5 years, just get into the system and try out here in US. That is the best bet rather than not trying at all.
Who knows you may get Labor/I140 in this 1.5 years and may get everything well.
DOL procedures - We really do not know how serious that **Supervised Recruit** is, unless it is experienced by people.
If you loose candian PR in 6 months or so, unless you land there, then we have to think about it.

You must file AC21 letter before your old employer revokes I140. Otherwise, your I485 will be denied. Request your old employer to wait to revoke I140 until you have sent that letter.
I hired a attorney to send the letter. I guess you can do it yourself too. Find a sample letter. Your new employer has to sign it on the company's letterhead. The letter is from the new employer, not from you.

One has to pay taxes on worldwide income if filing taxes as US resident. He/she can deduct foreign taxes paid as credit. It does not matter if income is taxed or not in the foreign country.

Hi all...thanks for taking the time to help me out...URGENTLY need advice based on your knowledge or experience...
I'm scheduled to travel to Mumbai via Amsterdam tomorrow morning. I just noticed that my I-94 card is missing (was stapled to my valid H1-B visa). My H1-B visa is valid until August 2011 and I have the original I-797A Notice of Action.
My questions are: (1) Will I be allowed to board the plane going from US to India? What should I say to the airline officer who asks for my I-94 card? , and
(2) Will I have any issues returning back to US? What precautions should I be taking to guard against this?
PS I did some initial research and do not have the time to I-102 since I'm supposed to catch a flight tomorrow.
Any information in the next 12-24 hours would be greatly appreciated.

I think getting salary regulary but salary slip after three or more months is common scenario in industry (deleberate attempt by employers, so that H1B transfer can't be filed). I have faced this music, my kid facing it and I am sure many people facing this.
I was lucky to go about it, USCIS did not ask at the time of transfer. Need to get idea, how others have handled it. Does bank statement work in this case?
Do you know who is processing your pay checks, is it ADP? can you get a copy from them. I always carry latest pay stubs while travelling, come up with some execuse and try to get the paystubs. You can always fight and get the situation resolved, but that is your choice.
I once had a bad experience with a travel agent, It was hard for me to get my tickets from them, until I called the local TV networks. Once they received a call from the TV network, they issued my tickets in hours. In your case, it is going to be your call on how much you want to fight to get the situation resolved.

Bill Gates testified in front of most of the important senators who wrote this bill. Even he could not make a difference. There is nothing in this bill he had asked for.
Not IV or Lobby group that IV has, can it really make a difference? There is as much as we can do and everything else becomes uncontrolable. Even IV core group are normal people like us but with connections more than us. But they have their own regular job to do as well.
So I guess we can only try calling the senators and hope they will change their mind and hope for the best. Expecting and/or trusting IV or Lobby group will really help would be sacrificial.
I am not questioning what IV does. The core group really does what is their in their hands and we should appreciate that.

One more question, If I need to add my parents also as a sponsor for the fee/expense for my wife, but they are in India how do I show there bank statement as that will be in Indian Rupees and what documents they I need to get from them to show to INS at the time of status change from H4 to F1.

I am not getting any appointment in June with any doctor within 60 miles from my place. So I took an appointment with a doc 70+ miles away for end of june. The only problem is I need to go twice 70 miles one way. The clinic suggested I do the blood work in nearby county clinic, but the county clinic wants 7-10 days to get results of blood work. I asked them for HIV and Sephallius test to be done. I already got TB Skin test(tested negative) done at county clinic.
Can someone please tell what all blood tests need to be done, so I can check if any other doctor can do the blood work and I can save one 70 mile trip . Thanks.

I went to the infopass to inquire about the "additional review" letter I got from TSC. Officer did some search and told me the following " this case is in transit to an officer TODAY, just 30 minutes before. you dont have to worry about this notice". He also said that call us back in 45 days .. I did fax all the details to the Senator but am not sure whether this resulted from the inquiry.

What does this mean,My case is being processed ,any chances of getting GC this month?Any thoughts?
