Agreed that it was stupid, and may hurt credibility, but i still love reading gizmodo, and would not wish to see them banned from MW or the next CES. People do stupid things, if they do it again, ban them, but i say let them off the hook for this one.They did not emphatically apologize for poor judgement. Briam Lam himself says that the only thing he didn't approve was doing it during press conferences... but when the error has occurred, you need to apologize for the whole incident, not say, "Sorry, we only wanted to screw around with some people, not others." Vendors PAID MONEY to attend this event. Gizmodo willfully inteferered with press conferences, and hasn't editted the article to include anything resembling a wholesale apology. --Just, "Look at this COOL thing we did! Isn't it hilarious! You can do it too!"

I would normally not consider purchasing a GM vehicle, but the Volt looks really good.

it would be a shame if apple only made the ipod cinema a wide screen ipod with lite quicktime like functions. zune though flushable has something going for it....you can actually use it to do things without a computer. chat w/ friends, set screen savers, share music, wifi. its like a psp that you can fit in one hand (minus the three good psp games ). ipod need to be a portable ilife interface. it should have full connectivity with itv and be able to surf and chat.front row type interface would be cool or even key not like! itunes mobile will help to conquour the evil beast that is comming zoon. we cannot let zune get a foothold or developers may come to the aid of dollar bill and create the windows " it's what im used to" syndrome, people will be stuck with these little turds and they will love it because they can myspace on them.

It's funny that unions are doing exactly what people are afraid corporations are doing.
But what's even funnier, is that all the while, the unions bring us down. They ruin education, give millions of dollars to crappy candidates that are just going to repay them later by pushing crappy legislation that helps out the unions.
They do little-to-no good for anyone, and are some of the strongest and most corrupt political machines in existence. But people are afraid of big businesses?

Well considering I just bought a 30" ACD less than 6 months ago I do believe I'm happy there were no updates. I would have bought at that time regardless but it always makes us feel better right?
Could care less about the silly MacBook Air but I am not in the market for another portable.
I think the best is the Apple TV. I mean seriously. They did all that and didn't require you to get new hardware. Good one for Apple.

You are correct that the way it is setup we pay for access and it has limitations and restrictions. I think the point is this just feels wrong. We have to accept it in the USA because we don't have a lot of choice/options. But in general if I am paying for data then why can't I just use it on what ever device I want? It doesn't make sense from a consumer stand point aside from the fact if you want data (which you are forced to pay for if you get a smart phone) then you have to agree to the wireless company terms.
From their stand point, I think it is done to limit access while they build out the system. Watch though, once things get built out competition will come in and you will see data $$$ and limitations drop like minutes.

wlh99, let me tell you precisely what I want to achieve, so there is no more confusion.
Two views;
View 1 is the ticker and a button underneath (button start.
View 2 is display (label) with the timer running and a button underneath (button Cancel)
Button Cancel will have two maybe three funtions ( stop the timer, reset it or just reset it at once and call View1 so the user can reuse the timer over again. That's it, I want to add that function to my App for 1.1 or it could be 1.4 if don't get to study now hahaa.
I'll take care of the alarms, sounds and those details if it reaches to zero, that I know already.
By the way, what's with 3rd person reference? the OP? you can call me Nekbeth or Chrystian, it's a lot more polite. Maybe you guys have a way to refer to someone , I don't know.

Years back I suggested a thanks button but it went nowhere. In truth I'm glad because it was flawed idea and so is this. Of all the things that could really use changing around here THIS is what we get? I really don't understand the point at all but I can certainly see some big drawbacks to it.
Firestarter had some good ideas here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=12442078&postcount=150) if it simply must stick around but I really hope it doesn't. I've watched it happen on other forums - it becomes a popularity contest more than anything useful, particularly if there are little to no controls with it.
P.S. The box surrounding the up/down buttons is baboon-ass ugly.
