I have an approved labor and approved I-140. Based on this I've got extension for 3 more years. I have a contract-hire opportunity which requires me to be a consultant for "X" months. I know I can transfer my H1 to another company. But my question is, can I transfer my h1 again to join the client after "X" months.

Mine is 2003 EB3 labor, I don�t have copy of the labor. Don�t know the job code and title, planning to switch AC21 and not sure how to get this code as i had already left the old blood sucking desi employer, any suggestions,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. That cleared a lot of confusion. If I apply lets say, 3 weeks before the expiration of her I-94, does she have to leave as soon as her current I-94 expires of can she wait for the decision? I she can wait what status will she be in once her current I-94 expires and the extension is still pending?

My PD is current for 12 months (from Oct 2007) .
Today i got reply for my June 2008 service request, saying my back ground check is not cleared :mad:
I know from Infopass that my NC is cleared long back.:)
If your PD is not current cant do any thing but PD is current, contact your local congressman.

I opened a service request with USCIS when my I485 was current in 09/08 and i got response saying that still investigation into my background remains open, so the case is not yet ready for decision. I filed my I 485 in August 2005 and in july 2007(then my file was current) also i was told that the background check is still going on.
Now we know that if it has been more than 180 days after we file I485, no need to wait for background check to process the petetion. My intention is to get my file out of this loop by the time PD becomes current. If any one had this issue and got it resolved, please advise me how i can handle it.

hello all,
i filed my application on july 2nd to nebraska service center. Now i am filing my wife' application using the new updated 485 form. i sent my application to nebraska service center. i live in florida and in the new form i have noticed that they are asking people from florida to send 485 application to texas service center.
i am confused as to where i should send my application. i am attaching a sheet which asks mailroom to attach my wife's new application to already filed my application ( sent on 2nd july with no recepit ).. i am just confused that if i send my application to texas will it get attached to my primary already filed application... any one in same situation or any insite please help.

Was it first h1 renewal (meaning 3rd year) or second h1 renewal (meaning 7th year).
Did you do anything extra to avoid PIMS delay (like when you renewed your h1) did your employer keep another copy with a notice saying send to Kentucky CC

Thought folks might find the following interesting.
I recently returned from a visit to Canada where I stayed with my brother-in-law, who owns a small but very successful web development shop. He told me that due to the booming Canadian economy, he can no longer find experienced programmers at reasonable bill rates. So he's been doing some outsourcing to get cheap foreign labor ... hiring American programmers !
Where was that? Vancouver? Toronto?
Was it Java or LAMP or .NET stuff?

So a question that's worth pondering. If I am on 485/EAD without H1b, does this mean I have the right to work but not the right to stay in the US?
The EAD card only gives us the right to work (as said on the card, cannot be used for entry), and my 485 has been pending for more that 240 days.
Is there any explicit stipulation for the 485 that allows me to be in the US as long as it is not denied?

The I-131 instructions does provide only the P.O. Box address. I believe FedEx doesn't deliver to P.O. box address.

I'm in the same boat at NSC. My EAD/AP(Aug 10) got cleared, but I do not know what happened to I485(July 18) appln. I called uscis, they asked me to wait for 90 days. Pls let me know if you nay updates.
